You can spend an unhurried afternoon at the Hämeenlinna Town Hall

28.8., 18.9.  and 9.10.2022. Come and open your mind to new landscapes! Starting in August, artists from different fields will come to Hämeenlinna's Town Hall to sing, play, recite, perform and show  wonderful things in the world - even in space.

 

Above all, we, the organizers of the Dialogia festival, want to meet you, the viewer and the listener, personally in a shared space.

Dialogue! - series of festival events was conceived and the artistic design is by soprano Pia Freund . She says: "All art forms ultimately speak the same language. In the midst of a restless world, people need lively interaction! I hope for Dialog! - to the stunning world of the surprising, expansive, addictive art of the series. Sometimes you have to open a door and walk through it  to see what's on the other side. How great the joy can be if you realize that you have been led to a door that you did not know before! My passionate goal is to create an event that would tempt you to open that door.”

The first three events take place at the Hämeenlinna Town Hall on Sunday afternoons in August, September and October. The public has the opportunity to spend an unhurried afternoon watching and listening to performances and participating interactively in dialogue with writers, actors, composers, musicians, visual artists, photographers and dancers. The continuation will most likely follow in the spring of 2023 in Riihiimäki.

The content of all the events naturally involve the audience, but there is no compulsion or pressure to participate -  the show can be enjoyed just as much by watching and listening.

​

The Dialogia! series is implemented with the support of the Finnish Cultural Fund, the Häme fund and the Alfred Kordelin Foundation. The Häme fund has made the series of events the top project in the region in the 2021 grant decision.

Together with the artistic designer, Pia Freund , , the series is prepared by Pia Kaulio , president of Hämeenlinna Seudun Taideyhdistys ry, first-born poet and assistant producer of the event Aino Krohn , musician and event producer Taina-Maaria Rautasuo , president of Hämeenlinna Kameraseura ry Anita Lehtonen and photographer Terho Aalto .
