PIA FREUND - MINNA TERVAMÄKI - MINNA PENSOLA / JAAKKO KUUSISTO

"FROM THE GRAMMAR OF DREAMS"

The interdisciplinary work brings together Kaija Saariaho, who has become known as an interpreter of vocal music  Soprano Pia Freundin , violinists Minna Pensola / Jaakko Kuusiston , and  star dancer Minna Tervamäki .

The texts used in Kaija Saariaho's "From the Grammar of Dreams" are  Sylvia Plathin  works. Powerful narration deals with life and death, escape to madness, and self-destruction and the fight against it. Despite all this, the painful nightmare in the finale of the work ends in daylight and life.
