PIA FREUND - KATI OUTINEN - ATTILA OF KRISTIA

"SOMETIMES A PIECE OF THE SUN BURNS IN MY HAND"

Kati Outinen, Pia Freund and Kristian Attila by their passion: poetry speaks, music challenges. Love, sorrow, death, life… joy to exist and breathe ..!

Katri Vala's poem TODAY
(Collected Poems, Earth Pier 3)

I rose from the dead today:

today I boarded a noisy train,

it sings: LIFE, LIFE, LIFE.

I'm very quiet

I'll put a hat on my face,

for my happiness shines throughout the world,

everyone sees how the train makes me happy,

how would i like to say to everyone:

dear, it is wonderful to live!

"The theatrical performance moves with intense themes and moods, the glow of the sun, the coolness of the night."

The theatrical performance moves through intense themes and moods, the glow of the sun, the coolness of the night. Katri Vala, Eeva Kilpi, Edith Södergran, Pauliina Haasoja, Pablo Neruda took part in the discussion.

Everything is framed in close expression around the grand piano: Gabriel Fauré, Enrico Granados, Leevi Madetoja, Francis Poulenc let the melodies speak and flush the senses…

EVEN THIS DARK…

(Veinte poemas de amor y una canción desesperada, 1924, suom. Jusu Annala)

Even this twilight we have lost.

No one saw us by the hand tonight

when the blue night descended on the world.

I have seen from my window

sun festivities on the southern mountain peaks.

Sometimes a piece of sun

burned in my hands like a coin.

I remembered you as my soul squeezed

to the sadness you know.

Where were you then?

With whom?

What did you say?

Why all the love comes to me surprisingly

when i am sad and you feel far away.

The book turned into twilight fell

and my robe folded at my feet like a hurtful dog.

Always, you always go out in the evenings

near the twilight that passes by swallowing the statues.
